George Baker merupakan band yang berasal dari Belanda, tepatnya dari kota Assendelft.
Pada tahun 1968, Hans Bouwens dari Wormerveer bergabung dengan band Soul Invention, sebuah band soul yang didirikan tahun sebelumnya oleh Henk Kramer di Assendelft.
Band ini terdiri dari Job Netten (gitar), Henk Kramer dan Eric Bardoen (saksofon), Jacques Greuter (keyboard dan flute), Theo Vermast dan kemudian Jan Visser (bass), dan Ton Vredenburg (drum).
George Baker berhasil menciptakan hits yang terkenal, diantaranya ‘Little Green Bag’ dan ‘Dear Ann’.
